The helicopter enables us to visit the breathtaking and untracked parts of the Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve and Norra Storfjället. Proper training, selection of terrain and hazard avoidance are important tools to minimize the of associated risk of all ski/board activities in the mountains.

Dedicated Professionals
Our Guides and Pilots at Valhalla HeliSki are fun loving professionals who are dedicated to your safety in the mountains. They are chosen for their ability to provide you with an exciting and memorable HeliSki experience in the safest and most secure environment possible. Every winter, all guides attend our intensive in-house safety-training course. In addition to their technical qualifications, they have strong interpersonal and communication skills and a genuine love of the sport of skiing. Languages spoken by our guides include English, French and German.
Our Heli-Skiing guides are trained in:

Lead Guide - Günter Burgsteiner
Günter has been in and around the mountains since he was a child and now matter what, he just loves it! Summer or winter – it doesn’t matter, there is always something amazing to do!
He absolutely loves sharing his passion for pow and the wilderness. Günter has been guiding groups for more than 30 years as a UIAGM certified mountain & ski guide and has pretty much been all over the planet.
Günter spent several years in Alaska as Lead Guide for other operations and is has finally found a new home with us in Kittelfjall!


Lead Pilot - Kai Zimmermann
Kai has been dreaming of becoming a helicopter pilot since as long as he can remember – gaining his commercial helicopter licence in 2009 in New Zealand he has been soring the skies ever since!
Now with several thousand hours of flight experience in places like New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Iceland, Canada and all over Europe where he has been flying for Air Transport and Commercial Operations ranging from fire-fighting to HeliSki.
Safety has the highest priority for Kai – he has extensive knowledge in mountain flying and remote operations.

Heliski
Our Back to the Roots program includes 24 Runs / about 15.000 Meter Vertical heliskiing with one of our Guides.
Extras
Included in your Trip are our Down Day Activities like Snow-Wing, Snow-Shoe Hikes and Ice-Fishing including equipment.
Accomodation
Stay 5 nights at the Valhalla HeliSki Crew House in a shared room and enjoy all the amenities the house has to offer.
Food & Beverage
Enjoy a hearty Breakfast at the Valhalla HeliSki Crew House and for Lunch we have a picnic in the field, both meals are included as part of your trip.
Transportation
We provide an Airport transfer to and from Vilhelmina Airport.
Safety Training and Gear
Before you start your HeliSki adventure with Valhalla you will receive a comprehensive training from your Guide in avalanche and helicopter safety. Your safety gear includes an avalanche transceiver, radio, shovel and probe.

Safety is understanding the Risk
The best safeguard for any kind of situation is training and knowledge. Before you start your HeliSki adventure with Valhalla you will receive a comprehensive training from your Guide in avalanche safety, how to operate your Avalanche Transceiver and how to use your emergency equipment for the unlikely case we need it. Foresight is better than hindsight!

Helicopter Safety

At Valhalla HeliSki we operate Eurocopter AS350 (Airbus H125) Helicopter. The single-engine helicopter is powered by a powerful Turbomeca Arriel turbine-engine, and has excellent flight safety features. It provides the fastest, quietest ride as well as the highest level of passenger comfort in its class.
The helicopter was designed to carry out the most demanding missions, including flying at high altitude and in extreme weather conditions. The AS350 has a seating capacity of six – ideal for a group of four skiers, one guide and the pilot. It is equipped with a special basket for transporting skis and snowboards and has plenty of cargo space to store all the necessary rescue equipment we carry.
Our Helicopters are equipped with:
