Trip preparation

A few tips before you start your trip!

How Fit do I have to be?

Heliskiing can be exhausting so it is important that you are in good health and above all fit. To put it in a nutshell – the fitter you are, the more fun you will have.

Please do not forget your personal ski or snowboard equipment – ski boots and ski clothing are a must but also remember to pack for the sauna and there should be something for the evening in your bags as well.

Equipment

Don’t forget your Ski or Snowboard boots (no touring boots), warm clothes, ski underwear (it can be really cold), gloves, ski goggles / sunglasses, hat and helmet.

Ski- / Snowboard- Rental

We recommend using All-mountain skis during your HeliSki Trip, your normal carving skis just won’t cut the mustard. Skis and snowboards can be rented from Valhalla HeliSki for 190,00 Euro per week. It is necessary to order your desired gear at least 30 days before arrival.

Simply send an e-mail with information about your preferred ski type, your skiing ability and desired length to contact@valhallaheliski.com.

Clothing

Comfortable clothes and swim trunks / swimsuit. Hygiene items, sunscreen and other medications.

Documents

Travel documents, itinerary, passport and travel health insurance.

To make your time Heliskiing a truly unforgettable experience without any worries, we recommend that you take out the right insurance cover before your vacation. Choose an insurance/insurances that cover trip cancellation, property damage, personal injury and if necessary a medical evacuation.
